At 15 weeks, I feel there are things that really need some brainstorming and researching.
Daycare is one of them! I know I have to start looking for a daycare, but I dread making the phone calls required to find one. My sister gave me a list of questions and has been a big help and I finally made my first call today. I was super excited about this one...but was somewhat disappointed in the end. I was excited because she lives just a few houses down from us...she has good hours (5:00 a.m. start!), and she has 8 years experience. All in all, she gave an "uninterested" attitude and the impression she caters to teachers and/or friends first. She said I should call back in April because she wouldn't want to have somebody reserve a spot too early because "many things can change" ...whatever that means. I took it as she would rather hold the spot for a friend or a teacher that needed it!
So I guess I'll move onto others for now and get more of a feel for what is out there. I realize I can't go with the first one I call anyway...but I was hoping we'd get lucky!
James is going to look into the possibility of working more hours from home or adjusting his hours to correlate more with daycare hours. With both of us starting before 6:00 a.m., finding a daycare to cater to that is difficult!
My lack of motivation continues with looking at strollers, carseats, cribs, etc. Part of me feels like it is too early to even look at the stuff because it is definitely too early to buy! But part of me knows that this time will go by very quickly and that research is needing to start now. James is also seemingly uninterested right now, which doesn't help my will.
I have started taking pictures of my belly, which I will eventually get to posting on here. I intended to add them right now, but I'm tired and I didn't sleep very well last night. Two coworkers and I were stranded in Montevideo overnight last night. We drove there to work and the roads closed before we were able to get back. There was basically zero visibility in that part of the state yesterday, so spending the night was the best option anyway. It just doesn't make for a good night's sleep.
Check in again soon for my first two belly pictures to be posted. I have my two month and three month pics!
